In keeping with its own club motto “Von der Breite in die Spitze“ (“From grassroots to elite”), Eintracht Frankfurt delved into the world of eSports at the beginning of 2018 before founding its own eSports training centre in the city’s Riederwald district, thereby creating an ideal infrastructure to develop the sport and establish eSports as a separate discipline within the club.
As the first German organization with a grassroots approach to eSports titles FIFA and League of Legends, Eintracht has established itself as a one-stop shop for both regional and national eSports youngsters, creating a solid foundation by nurturing home-grown talents. The most talented players represent Eintracht Frankfurt eSports competitively in various leagues, with the aim of becoming a leading figure in the national eSports scene. The club also offers amateur eSports players the opportunity to practise their sport at a club as part of a holistic support program.
