As a club with one of the largest memberships in the world, Eintracht Frankfurt are aware of their social responsibility to set an example. We are convinced that Eintracht Frankfurt can make a contribution to solving challenges such as climate change, the significant scarcity of resources and social inequalities. A strong understanding of values and culture is the basis, and taking responsibility is a matter of course.
A HOLISTIC UNDERSTANDING
In addition to sporting success, Eintracht Frankfurt have the goal of making a contribution to society and the environment, while at the same time safeguarding the club’s own competitiveness in times of global challenges.
To this end, the club already developed a holistic sustainability strategy in 2021, which is based on the three dimensions of sustainability: environment, social (social responsibility) and governance (corporate governance), or ESG for short.
As part of the strategy, 25 fields of action were defined which enable the structuring and measurability of activities. In these, we implement initiatives and projects today and in the future, and continuously measure our progress with the help of the custom-made ESG tool and rating system. By firmly anchoring the issue in every department, we also ensure that sustainability becomes an important indicator of success in all areas of the company.

Fans & members
- The eagle on the chest. A passion that has thrilled and united fans and members of Eintracht Frankfurt in the region and beyond for decades. Eintracht Frankfurt are characterised by a strong bond and identification between the club and its fans and members.
- Our aim is to continue giving our fans and members a strong voice in the future and strengthen their rights. This also includes raising awareness of sustainability and creating opportunities to participate in the sustainable development of the club.
Anti-discrimination
- Speaking out and taking a stand is part of who we are. Cosmopolitanism, diversity and tolerance are firmly anchored in our DNA and are non-negotiable basic principles at Eintracht Frankfurt.
- Our aim is to stand firmly against all forms of discrimination. We promote gender equality and equal opportunities, inclusion and participation, diversity and cohesion.
Social engagement
- Taking on social responsibility and making an active contribution to social cohesion is one of Eintracht Frankfurt's fundamental beliefs. This commitment ranges from exercise initiatives for children and young people to support for the homeless, from refugee or Covid aid to important remembrance work.
- Our aim is to continue to launch and promote social initiatives and projects, and to enter into cooperation with aid organisations and charities in order to improve social conditions and provide support where it is needed.
Innovation
- For us, innovative progress and sustainable management go hand in hand. We are convinced that with the help of innovations, we can conserve resources and contribute to the protection of the environment.
- Our aim is to develop digital business models that create long-term added value for society and the environment. For example, the 'Arena of IoT' offers a suitable playground for testing innovative technologies together with partners.
Environmental awareness
- Climate change mitigation and environmental protection concern us all. Eintracht Frankfurt are aware that the club’s business activities, particularly match operations, impacts on the environment.
- Our aim is to lower emissions in the future, reduce our energy consumption and treat natural resources responsibly. We know that we're only at the start of a journey and that there is a concrete need for action.
